Commitment, Discipline, Consistency & Results

Many of us have been there...we start working out with the best intentions of getting results, but we can’t seem to get to the gym enough or life just gets in the way. Unfortunately, this happens all too often, but commitment and discipline are the most important things you can do to get consistency and results.

Think about it like this: if you consistently eat potato chips while sitting stagnant all day, you will gain body fat. Conversely, if you train 3 times per week, eat a balanced diet and take proper supplementation, you will gain muscle, reduce body fat and generally feel much better mentally and physically. The point here is that consistency works both ways and what you do most of the time matters most. You don’t have to be perfect, but if you are consistently doing the right things, you will make gains towards your goals.

This concept is essential for beginning weightlifters and people trying to get fit. There’s a commitment that needs to happen first and if you can’t commit, you might as well not even get started. After the commitment, it takes discipline to keep your commitment to working towards your fitness goals. If you have both of those things, you will have consistency and get results.

So how do you start?

As I was saying, it starts with a commitment. A decision that you are going to get to the gym “x” times per week, even if life throws you a curveball and you have to adjust. This adjustment is where discipline comes in. You will have times where you just have to figure out how to get to the gym but, hey, aren’t your goals worth it!?!? Next, figure out a workout you enjoy and get started. After you gain some consistency getting your workouts in, make a plan to start eating better. Once your exercise and diet are consistent, add a few key supplements to your diet to maximize the effectiveness of your workouts. Before you know it, you’ll be getting results, checking goals off your list and making new ones.

Incredible benefits of Beetroot: Nature’s Candy, don’t you know!

Beetroot: Nature’s Candy

Beetroot: Nature’s Candy

Beetroot powder is rich in antioxidants, dietary fiber, calcium, iron, potassium, folate and manganese, along with other nutrients. Perhaps most remarkably, beets are naturally rich in nitrates, compounds that can improve blood flow and lower blood pressure, leading to many notable health benefits such as improved athletic performance. Beetroot supplementation has been shown to improve muscle oxygenation during exercise, suggesting that increased dietary nitrate intake has the potential to enhance exercise tolerance during long-term endurance exercise. Quality of life for those with cardiovascular, respiratory, or metabolic diseases, who find the activities of daily living physically difficult because of lack of oxygenation, could be improved.

Beetroot also contains Choline, which is a very important and versatile nutrient that helps with sleep, muscle movement, learning, and memory. Choline also helps to maintain the structure of cellular membranes, aids in the transmission of nerve impulses, assists in the absorption of fat and reduces chronic inflammation.

We use 500mg per serving of Beetroot powder in Workhorse, utilizing all the amazing benefits of this wonderful, and all-natural product. We believe in helping you, not only during your workout, but in long term care as well.

Intra-Workout Sugars: They are your friend.

Take a look around the gym, and you’ll most likely find that some of your fellow weight lifters are consuming high sugar, high caffeine pre-workout drinks, or even snacking on sugary candies while working out. The idea that intra workout carbs is not a new concept, but there are better, less strenuous replacements out there. Workhorse delivers simple carbs throughout your workout, and maintains energy for performance and intensity during your workout.

Your body uses glucose as a fuel source, giving you energy throughout the day. Starting a workout with low blood sugar is one of the worst things you can do, and more than likely you won’t make it 5 minutes into your warm-up. If you give yourself an energy source to pull from, your output is going to be better throughout your workout, which means that you’ll be able to lift more for a longer amount of time.

Workhorse is an all natural, Pre-Intra workout compound. We use 18 grams of Dextrose (per serving) for fueling your workouts, without artificial colors, flavors or sweeteners. We provide the perfect cocktail of natural ingredients to give you blood flow and pump during your weight training.
